About This Event
Glow Run Jackson 5K is the culminating event for the Girl Quest Boy Quest after school program. Kids from participating schools meet after school twice and week to train then come together at the end of the program and run a 5K together. The event is open to the public as a fundraiser for the program. The program is offered by the Jackson YMCA.
Route
This night time run takes place at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson, MI. The course will be closed to traffic, lit up to ensure safety, has many volunteers staffed on the course, and has lots of fun glow in the dark attractions along the way.
T-Shirts
T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register before October 26th. Some extra shirts will be ordered but will be handed out on a first come first serve basis.
Early Pick Up
Early pick up will be available on Friday, November 4th from 4-7pm. T-shirts, bibs, and race information can be picked up at that time. Pick up will be at the Summit Branch YMCA 2151 Ferguson Rd Jakson, MI (In the Summit Oaks Plaza) 517-782-0537
Pre-Race Party
Before the race we have a fun pre-race GLOW PARTY! Fun music, dancing, free glow stuff, photo opportunities, and a chance to show off your glow outfit for a prize! The GLOW PARTY is from 6:00-6:55pm.
Parking
In order to keep everyone as safe as possible parking is not available inside Ella Sharp Park by the route. However, parking will be available across the street at the Middle School at Parkside, along Ella Sharp Park Golf course, and along the side of any streets leading to the park. Parking signs and volunteers will be visible as you near the park.
Race Timing
We do not do official race timing for this event. This is a chairity event centered around fun and being physically active. A clock will be available at the end of the race if you would like to record your own time.
Early Bird Pricing
Early Bird pricing is available until noon on Friday, October 28th. Prices will go up $5 per individual and family registration.
